ABOUT SECONDLOOKCINEMA

This site and podcast are about the ways films reach us, on personal, emotional and visceral level. We all come from different walks of life and have our own unique experiences. It is my belief that we bring all of that when we sit down to watch a movie. If we pay closer attention in between the bites of popcorn and the sips of soda we may just find that there's more to what's onscreen than what we originally see.

I have been in love with films since I was a child. With severe asthma my entire life I learned to appreciate cinema in a special way. When it's all you have while you are in between breathing treatments it becomes a special sort of life preserver.

I'm a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Film Studies and Creative Writing. I'm a horror nerd, and I live with my beautiful wife and daughter in Central Virginia.
